Last updated: 30 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Prathamesh Enterprises (proprietor: Prathamesh Jayprakash Tawde) (“we”, “us”), operating Gita Smriti, processes your personal data when you use our website and WhatsApp service. We act as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, and we also follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.
1. Summary
- We collect only what we need to send you the messages you asked for.
- We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying STOP.
- We never sell your data, and we never share what is troubling you with advertisers.
- You can ask us to access, correct or erase your data at any time.
2. What we collect and why

| Campaign source (e.g. which ad you clicked) | To understand which channels bring people to the service. |
3. Legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, given by ticking the consent box on our registration form (or, for a paid membership, on the payment page). Where a law requires us to keep certain records (for example tax records), we process that data to comply with the law.
4. Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers (Data Processors) who help us run the service, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- MSG91 (Walkover Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) — WhatsApp messaging platform.
- Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business) — delivery of WhatsApp messages. WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies to your use of WhatsApp.
- Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. — payment processing and recurring mandates (only if you choose a paid membership).
- Our hosting and database provider — secure storage of the service's data.
- Google (Google Analytics / Tag Manager) and Meta (Pixel / Conversions API) — only if you accept the relevant optional cookies. For advertising measurement we may send Meta a hashed (irreversibly encoded) version of your phone number together with the fact that you registered or subscribed. We never send your name, your language or what you told us is troubling you.
We may disclose data where required by law, court order or a lawful request from a government authority.
5. International transfers
Some providers (for example Meta and Google) may process data outside India. We only transfer data in accordance with the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.
6. How long we keep data
- Active subscribers: while you are subscribed.
- After you unsubscribe: we stop all messages immediately, and delete or anonymise your name, preferences and message content within 12 months, unless you rejoin. You can ask for earlier erasure at any time.
- Consent and opt-out records: kept for up to 3 years to demonstrate compliance, without contact details once erased.
- Payment and invoice records: kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting laws (generally 8 years).
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Withdraw consent at any time — reply STOP on WhatsApp or use Manage Preferences. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent.
- Access a summary of your personal data and how it is processed.
- Correct, complete or update your data.
- Erase your data — use “Delete my data” on the Manage Preferences page or email us.
- Grievance redressal — contact our Grievance Officer (below). We aim to respond within 7 days and resolve within 30 days.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
The service is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will erase the data.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, secret management for API keys, and logging of administrative access. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board as required by law.
