Bhagavad Gita 3.35: Your own path, even imperfect
Chapter 3, verse 35 · Krishna to Arjuna
Better is your own duty, even imperfectly done, than the duty of another done well. Better to fail in your own path; another’s path is full of fear.
Context
Krishna urges Arjuna to act according to his own nature and responsibilities (svadharma), rather than adopting a path that seems easier or more admirable but is not his.
What it means today
Comparison is the opposite of svadharma. Notice one moment of comparison today and replace it with, “What is the next right step on my own path?”
