Bhagavad Gita 2.62: How desire turns into anger
Chapter 2, verse 62 · Krishna to Arjuna
When a person dwells on objects, attachment to them is born. From attachment comes desire, and from desire comes anger.
Context
Arjuna asks how a person of steady wisdom behaves. Krishna maps the chain that destroys steadiness: dwelling on objects leads to attachment, attachment to desire, and blocked desire to anger (continued in 2.63).
What it means today
When irritation flares, trace it back: “What was I dwelling on? What did I expect?” Catching the chain early takes away much of anger’s power.
