Bhagavad Gita 2.48: Evenness of mind is yoga
Chapter 2, verse 48 · Krishna to Arjuna
Established in yoga, do your work, giving up attachment, balanced in success and failure. This evenness of mind is called yoga.
Context
Immediately after 2.47, Krishna defines yoga itself: not a posture or ritual, but samatvam — staying balanced in success and failure while you act.
What it means today
At the end of the day, note one thing that went well and one that did not, and meet both with the same calm. That small habit is samatvam in practice.
