Bhagavad Gita 2.7: Arjuna asks for guidance
Chapter 2, verse 7 · Arjuna to Krishna
My nature is overcome by weakness and my mind is confused about my duty. I ask you: tell me for certain what is best for me. I am your student and I come to you for refuge — please guide me.
Context
After a chapter of arguing for why he should not fight, Arjuna stops defending his position and openly admits he is confused. He calls himself Krishna’s student. This is the turning point — the teaching of the Gita begins only after this surrender.
What it means today
Asking for help is not weakness; it is where real learning starts. When you are stuck, try saying honestly, “I don’t know what is right here,” to someone you trust.
